Charles R. Crawford, Marshal 

The Marshal of the court is responsible for executing the process of the court throughout its territorial jurisdiction and for maintaining security and decorum in and around the courthouse and other locations in which the court conducts proceedings. In addition, the Marshal undertakes administrative responsibilities assigned by the court, including the custodianship and maintenance of all court property, development and execution of the court's operational budget, purchasing, information technology, personnel administration and ADA compliance.

Charles R. Crawford joined the court as Marshal on August 1, 2012. Mr. Crawford has extensive experience in law enforcement, having served in most operational and administrative capacities. Mr. Crawford served as Chief of Police in Colorado and Florida, and as Chief Deputy Sheriff of a large Florida Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Crawford is a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Florida, and has executive certifications from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Public Administration. He also holds two Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Criminal Justice.
