The Honorable Wendy W. Berger Confirmed to Federal Bench
The Fifth District Court of Appeal is pleased to announce that the Senate has confirmed President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Wendy W. Berger to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Judge Berger began her service to the people of Florida in 1993 as an Assistant State Attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. She left that position to serve as an Assistant General Counsel to Governor Jeb Bush, where she served from January 2001 to May 2005, when she was appointed to serve as a Circuit Judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. In September 2012, Governor Rick Scott appointed Judge Berger to the Fifth District Court of Appeal, where she has served with distinction. While she will be greatly missed at the Fifth District Court of Appeal, the Court is pleased that her distinguished service will continue to benefit the people of Florida from her new position on the federal bench.
With gratitude for her service and sincere best wishes, the Fifth District Court of Appeal congratulates Judge Berger on this honor.
