COURT ADMINISTRATION
When the District Courts of Appeal were created, the Florida legislature created the position of Marshal to assist the courts in implementing administrative policy. The Marshal is a constitutional officer of the State of Florida.
The Marshal is charged with responsibility of bringing professional management to the judiciary. Responsibilities include: budget development; budget defense and maintenance; purchasing; facilities and property management; space planning; ADA compliance; personnel; security; automation and public information. The present Marshal is Ty W. Berdeaux. The Deputy Marshal is Pamela C. Wild.
