COURT ADMINISTRATION
When the District Courts of Appeal were created, the Florida legislature created the position of Marshal to assist the courts in implementing administrative policy. The Marshal is a constitutional officer of the State of Florida.
Ty W. Berdeaux is the Marshal at the Fifth District Court of Appeal. He is charged with the responsibility of bringing professional management to the judiciary. Responsibilities include: development, defense and execution of the court's operational budget; purchasing; facilities and property management; space planning; ADA compliance; personnel; security; automation and public information. The Deputy Marshal is Pamela C. Wild.
