Charles R. Crawford
The Marshal of the court is responsible for executing the process of the court throughout its territorial jurisdiction and for maintaining security and decorum in and around the courthouse and other locations in which the court conducts proceedings. In addition, the Marshal undertakes administrative responsibilities assigned by the court, including the custodianship and maintenance of all court property, development and execution of the court's operational budget, purchasing, personnel administration and ADA compliance.
Charles R. Crawford joined the court as Marshal on August 1, 2012. Mr. Crawford has extensive experience in law enforcement, having served in most operational and administrative capacities. Mr. Crawford served as Chief of Police in Fountain, Colorado, and Rockledge, Florida, and as Chief Deputy Sheriff in Brevard County, Florida, where he oversaw operations of an agency with 1000 employees and an $80 million budget. Most recently, Mr. Crawford served as Director of the Center for Public Service of Chipola College in Marianna, Florida. Mr. Crawford is a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Florida, and has executive certifications from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Public Administration. He also holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Criminal Justice.
The court's Deputy Marshal is Justine Sierzega.
