SUSAN WRIGHT

Clerk Susan Wright graduated from Michigan State University in 1971 with a B.A. in English Education and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law in 1976.  

She worked as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida for several years and then went into private practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, specializing in commercial litigation.  

In 1985, she was hired as a central staff attorney by the Fifth District Court of Appeal and was later named Director of the Central Staff.  

She was appointed Clerk of the Fifth District Court of Appeal on November 1, 2005.  

She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1976.  She is also a member of The Florida Bar Appellate Rules Committee.
